Books Are My Guide
Books are my guide and friends,
With different authors who penned;
Early in the morning, I read a page,
To fill my mind and make myself engage.
The day was filled with thoughts in mind,
It came from the books I inclined.
Books give me intellectual and spiritual stimuli,
It gives me elan vital to soar high;
The more I read, the more I gain,
The better I understand, the best I maintain.
Some books need to be chewed, others to drink,
Coz books were written not only with pen and ink;
Good books were written with and from the heart,
With a lot of ideas, reflections that we're vast.
Let us make books our friends,
To guide, Teach and support us till the end.
